Fostering Placements exclusivity

When a child in Birmingham needs a foster home Birmingham Children’s Trust Fostering Agency receive all the placement requests for our carers before any other agencies.

This means our foster carers get priority in the placement of children in Birmingham.

In the last year 90% of our new carers have had a foster child placed with them within 2 weeks of being available to foster.

Unlike many of the other agencies we are a non-profit organisation, committed to improving children’s lives

Support 24/7Mother with two babies

We offer support to all of our foster carers 24 hours every day of the week throughout the year.

This includes one to one sessions with your supervising social worker as well as many locally run support groups around the city.

Support groups are run by staff and some are run by foster carers, a local way to meet and get to know other foster carers.

As foster carers you are also members of Birmingham Foster Care Association who also offer fantastic support to foster carers in addition to ourselves.

You will also become a member of Foster Talk who are a national organisation for foster carers.

Outstanding Training Opportunities

We are committed to the development of both staff and foster carers to ensure the best possible support for Birmingham children.

Our staff are therapeutically trained in order that they can understand and support you with the care of the children you foster.

Our foster carers training is provided in local venues, at convenient times and with the support of a creche when appropriate.

In addition we also offer lots of online training too.

Our training offers something for everyone
