Our updated Business Plan 2019-2020
We have published the final draft of the Trust’s Business Plan update for 2019-20. This plan has been agreed by the Trust’s Board, and is shortly to be signed off by Birmingham City Council’s Cabinet Committee for Group Company Governance, reflecting that the Trust is a wholly-owned company of the council.
The plan does a number of important things:
- It includes an updated challenge from young people in our Children in Care Council and Care Leavers’ Forum
- It sets out our achievements in the first year of the Trust’s operation, and updates progress on the objectives we set ourselves at the start of our journey
- It defines our new priorities, including those following the Ofsted inspection in December 2018
- It sets out how we are going to begin to invest in new and different activity to further improve outcomes for the city’s most vulnerable children, young people and families. Where we are investing money, we describe our plans to ensure this one-off investment can lead to savings in our revenue as we change how we do things. It will be important we get this right, so that we can replenish and continue to benefit from our ‘Invest to Save’ capital sum
