5) Advice to employees wishing to make a disclosure

5.1 Employees who have major concerns arising from their employment may wish to seek independent advice from their union or the charity Protect (020 3117 2520 – https://protect-advice.org.uk), to see whether the information which they wish to report would meet the definition of a ‘protected disclosure’ and whether they should be using this policy, or some other procedure.

5.2 For any person employed and managed by the Trust, confidential support is also available via the Employee Assistance Programme ‘Workplace Wellness’: Free, confidential support and advice service for Birmingham Children's Trust employees.
