Take part in the experiences of mental health service campaign

Published: 3rd May 2024

An opportunity has arisen for children, young people, parents and carers to comment on mental health services in Birmingham and Solihull. Here's how to get involved...

The voices of care experienced children and young people are often missing from conversations surrounding the improvement of mental health services in Birmingham.

As a result, their needs are missed.

But we now have the opportunity to change this, and are encouraging children, young people and families to complete the survey below to ensure their voices are heard.

This project will help inform service improvements and priorities moving forward. There will also be further opportunities to become involved in focus groups and a listening event in June — details to come.

The key questions:

  • What are local mental health services doing well to support local citizens?
  • What barriers to accessing services exist?
  • What gaps in provisions are there?
  • What opportunities exist for strengthening, developing and improving services?
