Have your say on the future of Birmingham's libraries

Published: 22nd May 2024

People who live, work, or study in Birmingham are being invited to help shape the future of the library service for Birmingham...

The Libraries Consultation is currently live and we would like to hear the views of all citizens, particularly those who fall under the Equality Act Protected Characteristics through focused engagement.

As part of this focused engagement, we want to ensure that the views of younger children (3-11yrs) and parents, carers and legal guardians of children are taken into account in the current consultation.

We are keen to understand library usage and how we can make libraries more relevant to specific cohorts of people in the city.

To access the questions:

You can also download a fun questionnaire for children aged between 3 and 11 years old below. This can be completed and handed into any Birmingham library for a chance to win book vouchers.

If you have any other questions, please contact the Libraries Public Consultation email address: LibrariesPublicConsultation@birmingham.gov.uk.

Please note the consultation ends on 17 July 2024.

Many thanks for taking the time to be involved in the Libraries Consultation, your views really do count.
