Birmingham Children's Trust's offer to care leavers goes live
The Trust's 'Local Offer to Care Leavers' is now live!
Andy Pepper, Assistant Director for Children in Care Provider Services, said; "We are very pleased to launch such a comprehensive Care Leavers Offer to our young people.
It would not have been possible without the huge contributions of our young people, who not only helped decide the content and put this document together, but crucially told us what language to avoid so it was meaningful and not patronising to them."
The document, available to download as a PDF is packed full of useful information, and has sections on the following topics that are important to care leavers in Birmingham:
- Getting support
- Housing
- Money
- Education, employment and training
- Health
- Disabled children's social care
- Care leavers who are not yet British citizens
- Transport
