Festive fun for Birmingham’s biggest family!

Published: 21st Dec 2019

More than 600 Birmingham children and young people, along with their families and carers, enjoyed a free morning of fun in the city thanks to a generous local business.

Ice Skate Birmingham partnered with Birmingham Children’s Trust for a second year, bringing some holiday cheer to hundreds of children in care.

Families supported by the Trust arrived early on Sunday, 15 December 2019, to enjoy a free skate and a turn on the Birmingham Big Wheel.

Those brave enough also had the chance to soar into the air on the City Flyer, an adrenalin-packed high-flying swing ride.

Trust chief executive Andy Couldrick said:

“We are extremely grateful for the kindness of Ice Skate Birmingham for giving the families we work with the opportunity to have a fun day out together.”

Everyone at Birmingham Children’s Trust would like to thank Emily Danter of Ice Skate Birmingham for her continued support and for the business’ willingness to partner with us. Once again, they have given our children, young people and their families the chance to make memories to last a lifetime.
