How do we support you?

Once we have received a referral, we will have a conversation with the family and anybody else that is already working with you. We will decide together if our service is the best option for you, or offer you alternative services that could be suitable to your needs.

We can offer you direct support with things like:

  • Support with education provision
  • Parenting support
  • Emotional well-being and regulation
  • Mental health referral
  • Life-skills
  • C.V. Development and employment skills
  • Positive Activities in the community
  • Music making
  • Art and crafts
  • Sports clubs
  • Workshops
  • English and Maths tuition
  • Support services in the community
  • And much, much more!

Assessments

All children who agree to voluntary support from ou Prevention team have an assessment. This will help us understand their needs and make sure we can offer the best support we can.

The assessment will be completed by listening to the child, their parent/carer and any other people that might be working with them.

The support offered will be tailored to the child’s needs following that assessment. It will be co-created with the child and parent/carer. It will be for an period of 3 months, but could be longer.
