Involving parents and young people in decisions
Examples of what other organisations must do
All health, social care and education authorities must also co-operate and work together. For example:
- Health bodies must let councils know of any children, usually in early years, who may have special educational needs or a disability.
- Agencies must work together: different teams in the same agency, and different teams in different agencies.
- Agencies must support each other. For example, they must respond to each other’s questions by agreed deadlines.
- Organisations should work together to set up and pay for services.
